I stumbled on this video by chance on YouTube and I followed the link in the for some tutorials for Unreal Engine 5 on Humble Bundle. I purchased the bundle and downloaded some of the tutorials.

These will help me for any of my future projects and improve my skills and understanding of UE5.
I guess luck is by my side.


I was heavily inspired by the first person shooter Ultrakill.


Ultrakill is a first-person shooter platformer video game published by New Blood Interactive, the game was released on Steam in Early access for Microsoft Windows in 03/09/2020.



The game had a massive success and is very appreciated by the community for is unique style, fast phased gameplay, unique story and game play design. 

The trailer for the game was very interesting, in had a very cool vibe and it did manage to capture my attention and many others player, showcase the fast phased gameplay combined with dark mechanical ambient and badass shooting mechanic making the player feel really powerful.


Another game that caught my attention is RETOOLED , another first person shooter with a interesting design and look. I really like how this game is presented and how the world is structed and coloured. I really like the the models and they way they are designed in game.


Retooled got published on 12/09/2022 in early access and is available on Steam.


I followed some game developers who were building similar FPS. 

I went in YouTube and found David R. B. channel, I got really motivated on making my own game after watching is videos. I went looking for more of his work on Twitter.

I checked his game on steam, I really like the style he used and the way he created the models, light and weapons on Arcadian Rift game.

Watching this video made me realize that i need to put lot of work and dedication on my project to make it look way more cooler and improve my skills as Game Designer.

I went In Unreal Engine 5 and started my own project. I want to make really cool weapons for a sci-fi game, I already got my weapon design from my first week on campus in My Pinterest.

I decided to call my game Noctem, from the Latin world for Nightfall, the "game" will be a small testing field for my 3d models so that I can showcase my skills.

I won't be able to make the next Ultra Kill in 4 weeks but I can make badass cool looking guns to showcase my creativity. everybody know how guns work in game, so I will be easy to make them functional in game.

My main goal is to create a weapon showcase were the player will be able to interact with different weapons and connect each parts to a main gun. I am very confident with my 3D skills and focus on making the weapons unique, at least I would like to have 3 different main weapons and 2 different attachments for each socket in the gun.

The weapons list:

  • Main - Rifle
  • Secondary - Pistol
  • Heavy - Machine Gun


The attachment list:

  • Barrel
  • Stock
  • Energy
  • Scope

I will also add some small component for gun A
